MEMPHIS TO BE A PART OF MAUI INVITATIONAL ALL-ACCESS ON ESPNU; FOUR-PART SERIES BEGINS TUESDAY AT 6:30 P.M. (CT)

CHICAGO, Ill. – For Memphis fans wanting to get a look into how their team is preparing for the opening of the 2011-12 season, they can get a glimpse starting Tuesday, Nov. 8 when the Tigers join Georgetown, Kansas and UCLA in “All Access: EA SPORTS Maui Invitational,” the EA SPORTS™ Maui Invitational® announced Monday.
Tuesday’s 30-minute episode featuring all four programs airs at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on ESPNU. The four-part series follows two players from each team in their preparations for the upcoming season, including the EA Sports Maui Invitational. Sophomore Tarik Black and freshman Adonis Thomas are the two featured Tigers in the 30-minute shows that are scheduled for broadcast throughout the month of November.
The other three episodes are slated for Nov. 16 (10:30 p.m. CT), Nov. 20 (7 p.m. CT) and Nov. 30 (10:30 p.m. CT). The entire “All Access: EA SPORTS Maui Invitational” series airs on ESPNU. For a sneak peak of the series, check out the trailer on the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational YouTube Channel.
The 28th annual EA SPORTS Maui Invitational launches the college basketball season with a stellar field in 2011. The Championship Round, which is played at the Lahaina Civic Center on Maui Nov. 21-23, includes Duke, Georgetown, Kansas, Memphis, Michigan, Tennessee, UCLA and host Chaminade.
Before heading to the Island for Championship Round action, Memphis plays Belmont in an EA SPORTS Maui Invitational opening round game Nov. 15 at FedExForum. Game time is 11 a.m. (CT), and the contest is a part of ESPN’s 24-hour college hoops marathon.
