FedExForum
The 2010-2011 college basketball season will be the team’s seventh season in FedExForum. Considered one of the premier arenas in North America, the FedExForum is a $250 million state-of-the-art arena that is home to the Memphis Tigers and the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. The Tiger fans, known as “Tiger Nation,” have made FedExForum one of the best game venues in the country. Last season Memphis ranked in the top 10 for attendance, averaging 16,498 fans per home game. For the first Tigers practice of the 2009-2010 season, “Memphis Madness,” over 19,000 fans packed FedExForum.
Larry O. Finch Center
Away from college basketball’s top arena, FedExForum, the Tigers have a world-class practice facility in the Larry O. Finch Recreational Facility located on the University of Memphis campus.
The Finch Center is named after Larry Finch, former Tiger standout player and the programs winningest coach. Finch led the Tigers to the 1973 NCAA Championship game as a player and later coached the Tigers to 220 wins.
The 31,000-square-foot practice facility is dedicated solely to the men’s basketball team and is available to players 24 hours a day. The center houses state-of-the-art weight and cardiovascular equipment as well as the practice court for the Tigers. The players’ lounge area, locker room and film room were remodeled this summer to provide top-notch amenities to the Tigers.
