The Tigers (7-1) used a 25-11 run to defeat UALR’s (3-6) Friday night at FedExForum. In the win, senior Chris Crawford became the 49th Tiger in program history to join the 1,000- point club after a three at the 11:44 mark in the second half gave him his 1,000th career point. Crawford joins fellow senior Joe Jackson as the two current Tigers with 1,000 points. Jackson and a Shaq Goodwin led Memphis as each totaled 17 points apiece with 16 of Goodwin’s points coming in the second half. Geron Johnson also reached double figures with a 13- point performance. Crawford finished the night with nine points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Memphis heads to New York City on Tuesday to take on No.19 Florida at Madison Square Garden for the Jimmy V Classic. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT) on ESPN.
