Why did you choose the University of Memphis?

My reason to come to Memphis was bigger than basketball. It’s my hometown no better place, the city of Memphis is great! Coach Pastner is great! And the positive opportunity and impact that U of M basketball allows you make on the city.

How is it playing for Coach Pastner?

Best coach.. He’s always on us about being student-athletes first, which is great.

What has been the most influential or beneficial tip that Coach Pastner or his staff has ever said to you?

Do the right thing! When you do the right thing you can sleep at night.

What are your thoughts about playing in an NBA arena like the FedEx Forum?

Best arena I’ve ever been in. Blessed to be able to play in it.

Who is the funniest person on the team, practical joker, etc?

Me! I have the best jokes!

Up to this point, what is your all time career highlight?

Winning the CUSA championship in Memphis being able to cut down the nets in front of our families and fans!

What things did the Team need to work on during the off season?

Continuity, team chemistry.

Which athlete has influenced you the most in how you play and your drive to play?

Andre Turner- We graduated from the same high school (Mitchell) and he went on to lead Memphis to a final four, overcoming all adversity of what people said he couldn’t do!

Where is your favorite place to eat when you are hanging with the guys?

I’m pretty sure my teammates would agree, Ching’s Hot Wings.

When you need a break, what do you do?

Go to my grandmother’s grave sit outside and feel the breeze.

When did you first realize just how dedicated the city of Memphis is to their Tigers?

From Day 1, nothing is brings the city of Memphis together like Tiger basketball.

If you could tell people who aren’t from here one thing about Memphis, what would it be?

Memphis is really a great city, no matter what the image is the media portrays about the city, Memphis is truly great and there’s no place like it.

What is the one thing you are most proud of when it comes to the City of Memphis?

I am most proud of the adversity the city of Memphis has been able to overcome, no matter what the media portrays us to be.

I jook for fun! Best dance move slow dance and Cupid shuffle!

Memphis has a prominent place in America’s musical history. Who is your favorite Memphis artist, group, or musician?

Favorite rap artist is Yo Gotti. And Cannible, a new Memphis rapper on the rise.
