Tuesday nights practice was held at the FedEx Forum.  There is a different feeling standing in an empty arena without the thousands of cheering fans watching the Tigers play with game intensity.  The fans were the only thing missing from this spirited practice.

Due to a few players being held out of practice, the former NBA 13-year pro and current assistant coach Damon Stoudamire was called into action for five on five drill.  This is something that not every school in the country can have happen.  The activation of Stoudamire, even if only for the evening, picked up the intensity with the team.  They knew chances like this don’t come around every day.  This spurred the Blue and White teams to each make five defensive stops in a row.  It also reinforced Coach Pastner’s belief that defense wins championships.

The Tigers are working hard to prepare themselves for the season opener against Christian Brothers University on November 7th at 7pm.  Hope to see you there!
